**NeoGenomics has an opening for **a** **Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Flow Cytometry **who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position is for a Monday - Thursday, 10am - 6pm and Sunday, 9am - 5pm shift.**

**Position** **Summary**:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist works under mínimal supervision and consistently and accurately performs a number of varied and complex or difficult tasks associated with the processing and testing of Flow Cytometry samples

**Core Responsibilities**:
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all Core Responsibilities of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist I
- Consistently and independently performs the more complex level of clinical tests by following department procedures
- Assumes initiative for prompt, accurate performance of test results with appropriate documentation of result
- Performs newly introduced tests to the laboratory that require defined skills
- Proficient in all applicable areas of testing in the department. Proficient in troubleshooting all applicable instruments/procedures in the department
- Participates in continuing education; present periodic in-service programs
- Must be familiar with CAP/CLIA requirements and knowledgeable with the specialty requirements within those organizations
**Position Objectives**:
- Achieves desired level of competency and accuracy for the main department processes and responsibilities of assigned position, as defined in established SOPs, within 6 months
- Meets or exceeds productivity expectations
- Reports quality results with limited errors
- Maintains satisfactory results on all department specific competency assessments
- Works productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff
- Adheres to NeoGenomics Laboratories core values, safety, compliance, and Company policies and procedures
**Education**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university preferred
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemicals, physical, or biological sciences with the addition of at least 1 year of laboratory experience/training/training course
**Experience**:
- A minimum of three (3) years of equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred
**Qualification Requirements**:
- Solid understanding of general laboratory techniques with emphasis on department specific techniques
- Possesses appropriate computer skills to accomplish tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
- Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
- Good visual acuity including color perception required for certain departments
