**About Us..**
Beaufort Construction (S-in-A) Ltd are an SME and have been established for 50 years. We work mainly in the Commercial sector for Hospitals, Schools, Councils and other government led contracts. Meaning we have to be on specific tender lists for the works we do.
Duties (not limited to)
- Providing support, advice, and guidance to the Managers on all buying matters.
- Providing prices / quotes for all materials included on concept stage drawings to enable effective cost plans to be produced.
- Assisting the Team to collate Warranty, Building Control & Sign off certificates to enable plot handovers to proceed on time.
- Process material orders and create precise site-specific material schedules.
- Providing prices for and procuring construction plant and equipment.
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best quotes, quantities, and delivery timescales
- Identifying potential suppliers and products.
- Monitoring supplier reliability and dealing effectively with any supply challenges and the flow of materials.
- Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible with suppliers once a site has secured planning permission.
- Review invoice queries and resolve/respond in a timely manner.
- Attending site meetings as required.
- Monitor, report and address material losses/damage/stock on site to reduce excess expenditure.
- Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well organised procurement system.
- Calculating quantities for materials working off project drawings.
- Ensuring that materials and sub-contractors are purchased at the agreed rates.
- Working with and supporting the Site Managers.
- Negotiate prices for new and existing materials.
- Ensuring buying & cost control records are adequately and accurately stored and all buying related job files are current and up to date.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Inventory management.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in purchasing and procurement of construction materials or similar and raising orders.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and relevant materials or similar procurement environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and foster good relationships with suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Site experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Good understanding on construction technical drawings.
- Comprehensive Microsoft computer skills.

**Notes**
Office based, Mon to Fri 8:30am to 5pm, with visits to site when required.
Salary between £30,000 to £45000 dependent on experience.
Full time, permanent.
Full driving licence required.
