This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in Hartlepool. We are looking for someone to lead our highly valued SENDIAS Service (SEND Information, Advice and Support Service) and lead the development, implementation and monitoring of our Short Break offer.

We are an organisation that strives for the best for our children, young people and families and we recently received the highest outcome in our local Area SEND inspection. Inspectors found:

- “Children and young people with SEND are at the very centre of decision-making in Hartlepool. Local area partners work to a combined vision that ‘these young people are our young people’._

You will be working with a dedicated, motivated and ambitious Children’s Services team. You will be the SENDIASS officer and offer support, advice and guidance to families to help them navigate the Education, Health and Care Plan process. You will also be responsible for the ongoing development and review of the Short Break offer.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with families with children with SEND who is child centred, has excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide range of agencies.
