Our goal is to help our local youngsters build life skills, develop healthy relationships, make decisions that are right for them and HAVE SOME FUN. The Forum is a new organisation, which you can help help shape to have the greatest impact, working with the Trustees, volunteers and local agencies.

We are looking for a caring and confident individual to work with local young people and support organisations in a range of local settings. The Youth Worker will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, will need to understand the importance of Safeguarding, be motivated and enthusiatic, happy to undertake a DBS check with a valid driver's license and access to their own transport

**Responsibilities**:

- setting up and running activities and projects including with third parties
- building trust with young people through engagement and mentoring
- signposting to specialist provision such as counselling
- on the ground planning and delivery of safeguarding and related policy actions
- recruiting and managing volunteers
- working with other organisations, such as schools, sports clubs, community groups, local town and parish councils, and the police.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £12.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
