**Community Tree & Woodland Opportunity Coordinator**

Salary range: £33,820 - £36,298 per annum

Contract type: Fixed term, 24 months

Hours per week: 37

**Community Tree & Woodland Opportunity Officer**

Salary range: £27,344 - £30,151 per annum, pro rata

Contract type: Fixed term, 21 months

Work location: The roles will have a base at Sutton Farm, Stanton Harcourt. We recognise the roles require agile working and so our approach to where and how often we would like to see you in person will be taken depending on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you as part of the recruitment process.

**About us**:
The Tree Service are responsible for ensuring public trees under the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council are maintained for the long-term benefit of the communities they contribute to.

We are responsible for approximately 400,000 public trees along approximately 4600km of public highway, that we manage and maintain.

The Tree Service works closely with a variety of departments and functions within the County to deliver a holistic approach to tree care.

**About you**:
Do you have a passion for the outdoors and, in particular, trees and woodlands?

Do you want to engage with communities and landowners to identify opportunities to enhance the landscape of Oxfordshire for future generations?

Do you have experience of training or delivering projects?

If the answer is ‘**YES**’ to any of the above, then you could be one of the people we’re looking for to join our Tree Service.

Both of the new roles are critical to community engagement with shaping Oxfordshire’s Treescape. You will contribute to advocating proactive tree care by promoting the Tree Service and the benefits of trees to residents and stakeholders to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to tree care and tree planting across the County.

You will promote transparency and build trust with our communities.
