**The Role**

The key skills/attributes required for this Principal Hydrologist role are:

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience (or similar demonstrable skills).
- A full member of (or working towards) a relevant professional body, e.g. CIWEM, ICE.
- Demonstrable experience working within the Scottish marketplace within the energy, renewables and linear infrastructure and development sectors, including consultations with SEPA, NatureScot, Scottish Water and other local flood risk authorities. Experience working within England and Wales would be advantageous.
- Experience in peatland management, including reporting, data collection and fieldwork.
- Previous project management experience relating to hydrology and hydrogeology projects.
- An understanding of the requirements of the planning process (including for EIA, NSIPs and DCOs), with relation to hydrology and hydrogeology.
- A competent user of QGIS.
- CSCS card
- Outdoor Emergency First Aid certified
- Lantra 4x4 Driving certified
- A full driving licence suitable for the UK.

**Salary & Benefits**

**Additional Information**

For this role, you must have evidence of the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a relocation package with this job role.
