Packing Hall Supervisor

We are looking for a permanent Packing Hall Supervisor, for the early shift 06:00 to 14:00 shift.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Packing Hall Supervisor.
- Ensure products are packed correctly as per plan, on time, and right first time.
- Monitor the packing area to ensure it complies with quality, safety, and legal standards.
- Promote and build a culture of high employee engagement and motivation.
- Ensure all employees are adhering to hygiene standards including the wearing of PPE.
- Recommend improvements in quality and packing procedures and equipment.
- Ensure the team are aware of daily targets and ensure production boards are updated correctly in line with product information.
- Manage the staffing levels across all lines, taking into consideration absences.
- Monitor all lines and where needed, reallocate employees to ensure effective use of resources.
- Manage resource allocation including workstation assignments during breaks.
- Coordinate and manage shutdowns, production start-up and changeovers.
- Follow and ensure the team follow standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all paperwork and manufacturing documentation are completed accurately and in time.
- Monitor all lines and address issues as they arise, escalating to the Packing Hall Manager.
- Conduct daily team briefings to assign work, recognise achievement, communicate daily targets and to provide handover information to the team.
- Support the team in achieving the results required by the company.
- Promote a culture of employee engagement and motivation.
- Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve packing hall and all related activity.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the packing hall team to drive productivity whilst sustain quality.
- Working with the Packing Hall Trainer champion and take full ownership of new hires within the department including:

- Providing a detailed department induction when a new hire joins your team.
- Allocate an appropriately trained buddy to guide and train the new hire.
- Monitor and assist the buddy to ensure the training being provided is to the highest standard
- Monitor and keep accurate the UKG Learning, skills matrix for all employees assigned to your area of the business.
- Manage and control training administration and the submission of training via UKG Learning.
- Ensure that your team are only assigned to machines that they are trained on as per the skills matrix.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
