Rompers Private Nursery in Montrose is looking for a part time cook/kitchen assistant with experience.

Our nursery first opened its doors in August 1987 and we have since been at the forefront of early education and child care in Montrose, Angus and the surrounding area.

Over the years child care has changed considerably and we have continually evolved to exceed the regulated standards required along with maintaining a family friendly environment for children to grow and develop.

Like every home, meals and snacks are at the heart of the nursery day and we require someone who enjoys home cooking, baking and working around children to assist our full time cook in the cooking, preparation and serving of all meals and snacks. In addition, the nursery cook/kitchen assistant will complete other light household duties such as laundry.

Our nursery is open all year round however we close over the Christmas period for staff and children.

**What we are offering?**
- Position in kitchen as cook/kitchen assistant to assist our full time cook
- 25 hours per week over 5 days
- 28 days holiday
- Part time permanent position (to start March 2024)

**What we are looking for?**
- Elementary Food Hygiene certificate (training can be provided)
- Allergen Training (training can be provided)
- Commercial cooking experience not essential but a love for cooking a must
- Confidence in food preparation and hygiene
- Able to communicate effectively with other staff
- PVG (can be obtained through setting or updated)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
