Site Mechanical Coordinator

To develop mechanical specifications of work for contracted services and provide coordination of mechanical maintenance contracts across the site, to ensure compliance with standards, in order to meet the Business, Safety, Environmental and Operational objectives.

In this role you are accountable for

EHSQ
1. Ensure that safety is a key priority by driving safety improvement plans in conjunction with allocated contract partner organisations.
2. Responsible for the safe execution of assigned work by maintaining a felt presence on site for the purpose of delivering exceptional safety, environmental and quality standards.

Day to Day
1. Develop, control and manage assigned contracts and contractors. Responsible for development of the contract specification with the Contracts Manager and for contract execution including adherence to site regulations and standards.
2. Responsible for verification of contractor plans, schedules and RAMS.
3. Critically review KPI with contractors to drive and monitor contractor performance to agreed service levels.
4. Implement the contract management business processes.
5. Obtain and analyse competitive bids from suppliers and monitor cost expenditure to achieve the agreed budgets for each assigned contract.
6. Setup centralised contracts which can be called off by others to reduce the work demands on the maintenance team

Mechanical Contracts Include but are not limited to:
1. Fabrication, Scaffolding Insulation and Painting
2. Buildings and Facilities Management (Mechanical)
3. Building refurbishments (Mechanical/Structural)
4. Civils and Excavations in all site locations
5. Roads, Street Furniture and Fences
6. Carpenters, Joiners and Plumbers
7. Grounds works, drainage/drains and Hoses
8. Plant Hire
9. Lifting Equipment, fixed and mobile cranes
10. Tools (inc. registration and HAVs)
11. Gas Bottles
12. Weighbridges

Experience

The jobholder will coordinate work fed to them from multiple mechanical planners in addition to their own workload directly from the company CMMS and shall therefore have an ability to manage many work fronts at once across multiple contractors.

Experience of rigorous contract cost control methods to gain best value required.
- Skills and competencies
- Requires excellent communication skills and an ability to coordinate contracts effectively.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and a detailed understanding of how CF complies with these through site procedures, rules and expectations of contractors.
- Thorough understanding of computerised maintenance management systems.
- Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and must have well developed written and oral communication skills.

**Qualifications**:
Will hold either a recognised apprenticeship or HNC or higher level (degree) of relevant qualification in Maintenance / Engineering.
