**Carers Trust Tyne and Wear** is an independent charity supporting unpaid carers and their families. We provide flexible, individualised services that give people a break from their caring and help children and young people to overcome the challenges that young carers can face.

Our Support Workers carry out a range of important tasks including:

- organising and delivering social activities, skills and wellbeing programmes
- practical and emotional support to young carers
- school drop-ins
- enabling young carers to have a voice within the organisation, the borough and nationally
- working with partners to create new projects
- advocating on behalf of young carers
- representing the organisation locally and nationally

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £21,624.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 per week
