**Transport Planner - Newcastle - £27,000 to £30,000**

Clemence Rogers are currently working in partnership with our client in the recruitment of an experienced Transport Planner, to join our established client in Newcastle.

**Key Responsibilities of a Transport Planner**
- Effective route planning and utilising drivers for deliveries and collections
- Planning daily workload for vehicles based at 2 sites
- Answering queries from customers, employees and colleagues
- Dealing with driver hours ensuring they are compliant
- Planning fleet services and MOT's in accordance to the O licence requirements
- Dealing with driver hours ensuring they are compliant
- Negotiating with suppliers for the price of fuel
- Monitoring fuel levels on site
- Covering the weighbridge operative during breaks, holidays and period of sickness.

**Ideal person for the Transport Planner Role**:

- Good formal education.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to balance conflicting demands.
- Good knowledge of the transport industry
- Previous experience of working within a transport office.
- Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
- Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel.
- Committed, reliable and flexible team player
