Job Opportunity: Vice Principal (Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes) - Secondary Academies

Permanent contract from June or September 2024

Highly Competitive Salary - equivalent to between L20 and L23

Are you a dynamic and visionary educational leader seeking a rewarding challenge? We are currently seeking a Vice Principal specialising in Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes to join our dedicated team at Glenmoor and Winton Academies an outstanding secondary school located in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Position: Vice Principal (Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes)

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Provide strategic direction and leadership in promoting a positive Academy culture that nurtures personal development, positive behavior, and a strong sense of community. Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement policies and initiatives that enhance students' personal growth and well-being.

Behaviour Management:
Oversee the development and implementation of effective behavior management systems, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel safe, respected, and engaged. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address and resolve behavioral issues promptly and effectively.

Personal Development Programmes:
Design and implement comprehensive personal development programs that empower students to develop life skills, resilience, and a positive self-image. Provide guidance and support for students' career aspirations, ensuring they are well-prepared for future challenges.

Community Engagement:
Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community to create a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Actively engage with local stakeholders and organisations to enhance students' personal development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Be a highly skilled and inspirational classroom practitioner who models effective pedagogical

practice
- Have a proven track record of raising standards within curriculum development
- Have a proven track record in developing and reviewing curriculum and assessment planning
- Be passionate about learning and the wider curriculum
- Lead and inspire others within the wider curriculum
- Be committed to own professional development
- Be committed to improving the life chances of our young people and supporting them to become well rounded citizens
