We are looking to recruit a Stroke Lead (RGN/AHP) to join our stroke team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting new role within the specialty and one that will be pivotal to move forward with our plans to further develop our stroke service. As lead you will be responsible for the whole stroke service including the stroke ward and thrombolysis service. The postholder will also work closely with the therapy team to provide a seamless stroke rehabilitation service including the development of early supported discharge.

The lead for stroke will also be responsible for the implementation of a same day / next day TIA service in conjunction with our lead stroke physician.

This is a demanding role in a challenging time therefore we are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, organised, strong leadership. You will need excellent communication skills & an ability to demonstrate effective management. You will be required to ensure you role model & practice the Trust values & behaviours consistently. You must be patient, staff experience & care quality focused, able to demonstrate their ability, support delivery in these areas, in line with Trust & Divisional strategy.

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient & effective use of resources in delivering high quality patient centred care. Demonstrate post registration experience, including being in a leadership role. Applicants must be proficient at prioritisation, innovation and have a proven track history of achievements and delivery. The role has an integral part in leading & supporting frontline staff in order to drive forward the professional nursing agenda.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital serves a population of approximately 220,000, predominately in the catchment area of West Norfolk. We are a friendly but busy district general hospital covering most major specialties and are well supported by the local community.
