Yard Assistant

Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in the UK & Ireland. We currently have a requirement in our Telford Branch (Postcode TF1 5YL) for a full time Yard Assistant / Appraiser with an immediate start date.
- General Yard Duties
- Vehicle Preparation
- Site Hygiene
- Errands including offsite locations
- Manual Handling
- Parking weekly vehicle sales
- Assisting on car, commercial and plant auction preparations
- Vehicle Photography
- The use of Vehicle Marketing tools
- Inspecting vehicles for auction
- General yard duties when required
- Dealing with customers
- Moving and lifting of stock when required
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work under own initiative
- Hard working and reliable
- A flexible attitude to working hours
- Hold a full clean UK driving licence for three years or more
- Be capable of multitasking and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Desirable criteria (not essential):

- Experience in customer care
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Trained NAMA Vehicle Appraiser

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm with a 30 min lunch break.

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Driving: 3 years (required)
