**Responsible to: The employer (whom you will be caring for) and the employers representative (employers Mum)**:
**Hours: Variable hours approx. 20 - 30 per week**:
**Block shifts of 4 hours in the afternoon & evenings (12 - 4pm or 5pm - 9pm)**:
**Rate of pay: £10.42 per hour**:
**Based at: North Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne**:
Job purpose:
**Main duties**:

- All Personal Care Tasks such as changing, washing etc.
- Supporting with administrating medication
- Light house-hold tasks around the home
- To support with meal preparation and supervising whilst eating and drinking
- Social support within the home
- Providing a companionship to the lady
- Moving and handling tasks such as transfers (to and from chair etc)
- To provide support with toileting
- Support the lady and accompany her when going out such as going shopping, going for a coffee etc
- To perform other duties to support the employer in daily living as may be reasonably requested.

Personal Specification
- Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
- Have a good sense of humour and enjoy a friendly joke.
- You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
- You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.
- Have an awareness and knowledge of equal opportunities.
