**Job Title**:Switchboard Receptionist
**Trust Location**:Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust
**Shifts Pattern**:Flexible working days - Working 5 out of 7 days (37.5 hrs per week)
**Hours: Nights - **22:00/ 23:00 - 08:00 or 18:00 - 23:00 on a rota basis
**Payrate**:£16.22 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

**About the Trust**
Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) provides high quality, safe and innovative care to our patients in the community, in their homes or in hospital.
We provide services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties, and older people in the London area. We currently deliver most of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. However, we also provide substance misuse services in Westminster, and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to people living in Kingston.
**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Answering inbound calls in a responsible and courteous manner, monitoring progress and rerouting appropriately if extension is engaged or not responding offering assistance or advice in accordance with Departmental call answering standards
- Answering internal incoming calls from health care professionals and ensure that these are re-routed appropriately, and any information required is provided.
- Undertaking outbound calling for Trust staff when required following the request and recording process.
- Have the maturity to deal with stressful, emotional situations and remain calm, empathetic, and confident to the caller.
- Report any technical faults, equipment failure, breakdowns, or operating difficulties
- Undertake routine clerical work such as printing on-call rotas, making amendments to rotas, recording any changes in emergency details etc.

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
