**The Package**
- Salary of £30,335
- Permanent contract, working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available with start and finish times
- Hybrid / flexible working options, enabling you to combine working from home and our offices in Llandudno Junction or Bangor as required

**The Role - Money Advice and Income Officer**

Reporting to the Income Manager, you’ll maximise rental income by managing arrears cases within a designated geographical area. This will involve:

- Managing arrears cases, sundry tenant debt and rechargeable repairs recovery
- Recording accurate data on caseload outcomes, including income maximisation and debt management
- Providing the Income Manager with performance information relating to income collection and tenant engagement
- Negotiating payment arrangements for tenants
- Providing financial advice where needed, and referring tenants to money advice agencies as appropriate
- Updating the CRM system and tenant diaries
- Providing training for Income Officers regarding money advice activities

**Our Requirements - Money Advice and Income Officer**
- Experience gained within a debt recovery role or similar
- Experience of case management and advocate on behalf of low-income and otherwise vulnerable customers
- Good knowledge of welfare benefits systems
- Ability to hold everyday conversations in Welsh
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, with a confident and polite telephone manner
- Ability to solve problems, with a solutions-focused and can-do attitude

Although not essential, previous experience of working in a housing organisation, or the achievement of Level 3 Chartered Institute of Housing qualification, Level 3 certificate in advice and guidance, or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
