The purpose of this role is to be the financial business partner to my client’s product development teams which includes design team, supply chain and merchandising. You will strategically plan for these teams with a focus on trading, promotional activity,inventory management and intake margin.

**Main Duties**
- Review, propose and action markdown events and promotional activity, calculating the effect on margin and profit.
- Plan pricing and promotional activity together with the buying team, in line with overall strategy and supported by financial evaluation.
- Together with your team partners, formulate the supply chain strategy which sets out short, medium and long term plans for supplier partnerships, development & improvement.
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with key partners to for collaborative style working and clear communication channels.
- Create strategies and financial plans by channel and category for sales, margin, stock and markdown, taking traded history and planned future events into consideration
- Work closely with the Warehouse, Imports, Finance & the Departments to ensure overall efficient movement of stock through the supply chain to market.
- Manage the availability of stock to ensure maximum profitability, launch dates are met and sale and stocks are potentialised in line with forecasts across trading channels.
- Input into cross functional activity as required e.g. operations, finance, logistics.
- Track results of operational decisions and prompt corrective actions
- Support Senior Finance Business Partner in budgeting and forecasting process

**Skills and Experience**
- AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualified or final stages
- Experience in working in a retail business or all aspects of trading, ideally in a multi-channel environment
- Experience working in analytical role
- Power BI
- Highly numerate and able to interpret data to determine decision making, work to budgets and financial plans.
- Relationship building
- Driven / highly motivated to be self-starter and inquisitive
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Understanding of critical path and product life cycle
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Ability to present complex technical information to others in an understandable way.
- Strong planning and organisation skills - able to change plans in line with business needs.
- Strong Microsoft office skills
