**Purpose of the Role**

The Yardman/woman plays a crucial role in enabling the onsite teams to deliver service and quality.

They help ensure the efficient running of the yard, warehouse stores, stocks of all component parts of the marquee structures, interiors, furniture and accessories are stored, picked, loaded and unloaded correctly.

They work to ensure high levels of Health and Safety, reduce damage to stock in store and transit to site, with the aim of contributing to a slick logístical operation and to maximise sales and quality.

**Key Responsibilities of the Role**
- Part of yard and warehouse team, working to operational systems and processes
- Picking and loading of jobs
- for dispatch / unpacking returns, sorting and returning hire stock
- for client deliveries and collections including third party hires: goods in, goods out
- Maintenance of property, hire stock and quality control
- Stock checking and stock control: contribute to a rolling stock take of all equipment
- Keep warehouse and yard clean, tidy and organised
- Cleaning and drying of marquee equipment
- Cleaning, washing, repairing and testing of stock on a scheduled basis, as well as in line with general returns as and when required
- Receipt and recording of 'goods in' and dispatch and recording of 'goods out'
- Ensure procedures are followed (company and legislative) and Health & Safety rules are observed
- Prepared to work long hours including weekends in busy periods

**Required Experience**
- Yard / Warehouse experience
- Valid EU driving license

**Useful Experience**
- Experience of the Marquee Industry
- Forklift driving experience
- Counter balance forklift trained
- Tele-handler forklift trained
- First aid trained
- MUTA structure-safe trained
- Class C driving licence with CPC

**Salary**

Competitive and negotiable dependent upon experience

**Working Hours**

Flexible hours based on marquee hire bookings with typical hours between 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday and additional hours on marquee builds as dictated by seasonal demand.

Availability to work weekends and bank holidays is an integral part of the job, particularly during peak season (May to October), where our volume of work enables a highly attractive level of take home pay.

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
