Led by a proactive and dedicated Head, Oldway Primary School is a popular school which serves the local community in and around Paignton, in South Devon. We have an extensive and experienced workforce, with great deal of expertise, and are able to provide a vibrant learning experience for our pupils. Oldway Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools. We work in collaboration with Roselands Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life. Our site Team consists of our Operations Manager, Site Supervisors and caretaker, as well as cleaning teams across our 3 sites.

Oldway Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Caretaker with good basic DIY skills to join the team. The post holder will work under the guidance of one of our Site Supervisors to support the effective operation of site services. The responsibilities of the role will include cleaning, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance, and grounds work. The primary focus of the role will be security and maintenance of the site, health and safety and statutory compliance.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Positive and proactive; who can build and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, especially within the site team
- Able to effectively manage conflicting priorities under the supervision of the Site Supervisor
- Able to carry out a schedule of maintenance and repair tasks
- Has a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Detail oriented, reliable and is able to use their own initiative

The starting salary for this role will be **£15,243**, which is Grade **D*, Scale Point **5* and based on 24 hours per week), for 52 weeks per year. (Full Time Equivalent £23,500).
