**Staining Lodge Golf Course **is a family run, 18 hole par 72 course set in 160 acres of rural Fylde countryside with a growing membership base and reputation.

We are currently searching for a **full time Greenkeeper** to join our enthusiastic team led by our experienced and highly regarded Head Greenkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a thriving club with an experienced and friendly team. We strive to further improve the golf course year on year, as we seek to achieve and maintain the highest standards throughout 2024 and beyond.

Applicants should have previous golf course maintenance experience with a keen eye for detail. Due to our aspiration of constantly striving to maintain the highest possible standards, combined with various project activities, the duties are varied and sometimes labour intensive.

**Job purpose**:
To carry out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the head greenkeeper, either independently or as a team, in accordance with the Club’s Health and Safety Policy and the Greenkeepers Code of Conduct in order to maintain the highest possible standards.

**Applicants will, as a minimum, be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of the following**:

- NVQ Level 2 and ideally working towards level 3 preferred
- 2 years' minimum experience
- Carry out work in accordance to Health and Safety guidelines
- An enthusiastic, motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Desire to achieve the highest standards with a keen eye for detail
- Good knowledge of and experience driving modern turf machinery
- PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying certificates preferred
- Chainsaw license preferred

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
- Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.
- Switch and brush greens
- Identify and control pests and diseases
- Renovate worn and damaged turf
- Prepare and maintain machinery

Pay: £8.60-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
