Transport Planner

**Silver X Group are looking for the next addition to our amazing team**

Due to Continued growth, The Silver X Group is now recruiting an experienced Transport Planner to work with our busy transport department in Alfreton. You will be responsible for delivering goods from our main depot to customers locally and nationwide.[PCF1]

**Who are we looking for?**

We want you to “own it” so a natural leadership approach is a must, as you will be involved in everything from sales, operations, legal compliance, administration, and finance for your particular depot. You will be supported by our board and head office functions, reporting directly to the depot transport manager.

**What does a typical day include?**
- Transport Turnover and Gross Margin
- To arrange collections and deliveries for same day or/and pallet network in UK and Nationwide while planning and managing tasks, jobs and time effectively
- Arrange new businesses to generate more business revenue
- Ensure that all compliance processes are followed without fail, relating to the legal requirements of the business
- Being the main contact for all drivers, customers, suppliers and internal departments such as Warehouse and Customer Service
- Using IT software (Stream) to route the deliveries providing accurate and effective information for the drivers on Stream
- Arrange new businesses to generate more business revenue
- Ad hoc office duties

**What do you need?**
- Utilising your strong Sales, Negotiation, Administrative and Relationship Building skills
- 5 A to C grade GCSE’s
- Highly IT Literate
- Previous Transport / Transport planning experience with strong Knowledge of Drivers Hours, tachograph and WTD legislation
- Possess excellent commercial skills and a strong team ethic
- Be able to demonstrate sophisticated communication and negotiation skills
- 2 years of transport planning experience with a fleet of over 10 vehicles preferred.

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Transport planning: 1 year (preferred)
