Laundry Operative

**Job Title**: Laundry Operative
**Contract Type**:Temporary to Permanent
**Location**: Lochside Industrial Estate, Dumfries
**Salary**:£11 per hour
**Hours**: 9 Hour Shifts with varied start times between 5am and 9am (Mon-Fri)

**Responsibilities**:

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and package laundry items according to company standards
- Operate and maintain laundry machinery and equipment
- Inspect items for stains, damages, or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a factory or similar environment is preferred, but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
