**Job title**:Heating Fitter (Gas Qualified)

**Salary and grade**:£26,845 - £29,439 per annum Grade 6

**Hours per week**:37hrs

**Contract type**:Full time/ Permanent

**Location of post**:Tregelles Court

**Main purpose of the post**

To carry out Building Maintenance works to Council Buildings; Schools; Civic Buildings; Office Buildings; Celtic Leisure Facilities.

Working as part of a team or independently.

Responsible for all aspects of one’s Primary Trade of Heating Fitter/Plumber & any other trade works within one’s own knowledge, skillset & understanding as & when required.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- To carry out Heating Fitter work as instructed by the Mechanical Supervisors/Engineer (including Gas related pipework).
- Ensure works are carried out to the required specification.
- Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork
- Be flexible with regard to travelling to any part of County Borough, including adjoining Counties where work demands.
- Where appropriate provide a schedule of material requirements for works.
- Identify own training needs and undertake training as necessary.
- To undertake such other duties as reasonably be required of you commensurate with your salary grade and capabilities
- To be able to work individually or within a team with mínimal supervision.

Ideally you will have;
- City & Guilds or NVQ required to level 3 in Heating Fitter/Plumber
- Specific Health & Safety training, e.g. manual handling, Asbestos awareness, working at heights, COSHH, Abrasive Wheels, Confined Space, Emergency First Aid, HAV’s Awareness & Pasma.

Welsh Language skills are not required.
