**Apprenticeship summary**
**What will the apprentice be doing?**
The primary function of this role is to:
- To assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Merseyside Federation Branch Board Office with a strong focus on customer service for Police Federation members
- Assist with marketing via social media
**Your general duties will include**:
- Meet and greet all visitors ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner
- Deal with member queries and issues appropriately
- Take telephone messages and forward to appropriate staff, federation reps and executive team
- Check force system forwarding or dealing with enquiries appropriately
- Maintain the reception diary, ensuring facilities are prepared and checked for meetings and catering ordered where appropriate
- Maintaining security by operating entry and exit to the office, ensuring visitors are tracked in and out
- Maintaining the fire safety log and supporting performing weekly fire alarm tests
- Distribute all incoming mail, log delivery of parcels and remove from reception, storing or delivering were appropriate
- Supporting the communications for the branch, assisting with web site and social media input
- Creating campaigns and sending members regular information bulletins, offers and relevant news
- Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks assigned from time to time
- Maintain confidentiality in all tasks
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
During this apprenticeship, you will be supported by The Learning Foundry to work towards a level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
You may be required to attend a series of workshops at our Liverpool City Centre Campus and will also meet with your tutor one to one, on a monthly basis.
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
This opportunity could lead to a permanent position and a chance to progress within the organisation following a successful apprenticeship.
