Print Finisher

**Join our Print Finishing Production Team**

We are looking for a hardworking and driven individual to join our existing busy print finishing team.

Firpress Printers are the only quality assured printer in West Cumbria, providing quality print, design & large format signage services for over 30 years.

You will be working independently, but also need the ability work effectively alongside our existing team members.

You will be expected to prioritise a large and varied workflow and undertake work on multiple jobs at the same time.

You will be required to keep track and meet all hard deadlines, making sure your work is completed on time for customers and to the highest quality.

**Your duties will include**:

- Daily check of deadline requirements to plan and prioritise workflow.
- Operation of the necessary print finishing machinery which will include: guillotine, booklet making, machine folding, industrial lamination and many other pieces of automated machinery.
- Operation of large format finishing equipment for cutting and preparation of posters, pop up banners and PVC banners.
- Completion of Hand Work to finish and package our printed products.
- Preparation of finished products and delivery paperwork for delivery.
- Delivery of goods direct to customer.
- Booking finished goods for courier collection or delivery to stores.
- Daily update of interactive workflow spreadsheet and prepare daily timesheet documentation.

**Desirable Skills / Attributes**:

- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to use own initiative and communicate effectively with all departments.
- Ability to check information thoroughly and complete work to the highest standard.
- Full Driving Licence required.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

**Working Hours**
You will be based at our premises 5a Buddle Road, Clay Flatts Ind Est, Workington, Cumbria CA14 3YD. 37.5 hours per week. 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

**Part time and or remote working - **This position cannot offer part time or flexible hours and cannot be carried out via remote working.

**Contract**
Fixed full-term* contract.
*Depending on experience an initial 6 month probationary and training period may apply.

**Salary**
Salary dependent on qualifications & experience and will be discussed at interview.
