Senior Buyer

At this manufacturing based in Irlam, the Supply Chain Director is looking to attract into his team a driven purchasing professional who will manage cost, time and quality of services and goods.

This is an exciting time to join a growing and thriving business as they continue to receive increases in orders and customers.

In this key role for the business, typical responsibilities will be:
- To evaluate suppliers and services, negotiating contracts and favourable terms and conditions.
- Lead negotiations of contracts for a spend of £20m.
- Understand current and future market trends.
- Manage supplier relationships to maximise potential.
- Ensure and maintain high standards of communication.
- Lead supplier improvement initiatives.

The successful Buyer will:
- Have gained their purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Be able to build strong relationships with a global supply base.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ideally have ERP experience.
- Be able to build strong internal relationships.

On offer:
- A salary to £41,000
