Porter/groundskeeper

CABÜ by the sea is a luxury holiday retreat catering to the staycation market.

We are seeking an experienced porter/groundskeeper with an enthusiastic and can-do attitude, you will be working on a 40 hours per week basis mid-week, and some weekends. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our premises. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Customer Service:

- Providing a friendly and courteous service.
- Preparing beverages for guests.
- Responding to enquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that operations run smoothly.

2. Grounds Maintenance:

- Removing weeds, debris, and litter from all areas.
- Overall maintenance of the grounds.
- Maintaining planters.
- Painting communal areas.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste.
- General ad hoc cleaning of communal areas.
- Assisting the housekeeping department on check-out days.
- Assisting with light maintenance issues and minor repairs.
- Due diligence reporting.
- Regular hot tub/sauna and swimming pool checks.
3. Safety and Security:

- Monitoring the premises for any safety hazards.
- Ensuring that all paths and walkways are clear.
- Conducting regular site walks, checking all cabins are secure and reporting any unusual activity.
- Responding promptly to any security incidents/emergencies, such as fire alarms or disturbances.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a porter/groundskeeping role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Willing to take instruction and assist as part of the CABÜ team.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage various tasks on a daily basis.
- Willing to cover holidays, sickness, and swapping shifts when required.

**Benefits**:

- Salary £24,000 per annum.
- 25 days annual leave (CABÜ also recognises the 8 statutory bank holidays in addition to basic annual leave entitlement)
