Equans is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The post holder will have the required maintenance skills to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance and repair tasks on a wide range of mechanical building services plant and equipment across the site.

What will you deliver?
The objective of the department is to operate and maintain a physical environment in which healthcare can be delivered to the patient. The main elements being the maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment as required to achieve this
Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance at the request of the Mechanical Supervisor

To liaise with Mechanical Supervisor and Mechanical Manager regarding request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary

Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use all relevant drawings and schematics

Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with published procedures

Work Overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required

Who are we looking for?
Experience in carrying maintenance works, some installation work on plumbing, heating, ventilation systems, which would have been gained within large complex building environments

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
