Hydro Group manufactures bespoke subsea cable and connector assembly engineering for the oil and gas, marine renewable energy and defence industries.

We are certified to ISO 9001 and 14001:2015 to design and manufacture subsea electrical and optical connectors, electrical pressure hull penetrators, associated subsea electrical cable terminations, installation of electrical and optical connectors, specialist underwater and harsh environment electrical and optical composite cables, tethers and umbilicals. Our products are precision-engineered to withstand the harshest environmental conditions.

From our modern manufacturing facilities in Aberdeen, Scotland, we support customers from prototype concept stage through to project management and maintenance.

**Responsibilities**
- Inspect, test and record results of mechanical components both manufactured and customer free-issued.
- Inspect test and record results of other incoming goods and forward to Materials Controller to book into stock.
- Monitor all components to ensure identification and 100% traceability is maintained.
- Maintain standards of service on inspection, test, measurement and calibration equipment.
- Package, store and despatch of products with accurate delivery, invoice and certificate of conformity documentation.
- Maintain and store all quality records in accordance with works instructions, test specifications and manufacture process specifications.
- Liaise with production department on workload schedules to comply with customer delivery requirements.
- Raise NCR’s with Supply Chain department and vendors to investigate and report (preventative and corrective action) on any non-conformance products.
- Control of internal calibration (internal/external micrometers, calipers etc).
- Control of external calibration for Machine Shop (thread gauges, gauge blocks).
- Assist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group.
- Maintain the Group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy.
- On-site inspection duties as and when required.

**Skills and Experience**
- Competent with experience of traditional measuring equipment (internal/external micrometers, calipers etc).
- Basic knowledge of CMM machine (aberlink software).
- Excellent communication skills and effective team player.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
