**Description**

Conveyancing Direct are part of the Connells Group which is one of the largest and most successful estate agency and property services providers in the UK.

This is a rapidly expanding customer focused company which is dedicated to progressing not only the business but the people within it. As part of our expansion we are looking to recruit Conveyancers to join our team in our Hastings office.

This would suit a person with a background of working in a Conveyancing or similar environment or with experience in running their own case load and mentoring other members of the team.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for carrying out all legal aspects on residential property transactions ensuring due diligence in all areas of processing a residential property transaction (Leaseholds, Freeholds, Registered and Unregistered properties).

The type of transactions you will be dealing with could include Purchases, Sales, Remortgages, Auctions, New Build, Right to Buy, Help to Buy, Shared Ownership, Transfer of Equity, Lease Extensions and Deeds of Variation.

You will be required to deal professionally with other lawyers, estate agents and third parties associated with the transactions and be accountable for your own files, the advice/guidance given, and other legal aspects on property transactions which youare working on.

When required, assess risk on a transaction by using skills and experience to make pragmatic decisions and to ensure appropriate legal advice is given.

Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion ensuring all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.

Each conveyancer is supported by a Team Manager and allocated 3 Case Handlers to assist in progressing their files in a capacity controlled structure which ensures our Conveyancers can always provide the best service to our customers and partners.

**About You**

We are looking for an excellent communicator, good time management, organisational and problem-solving skills who is confident and able to work alone or as part of a team.

Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.

If you are a member of Council of Licensed Conveyancers, Solicitor or have a CILEx qualification, have previous relevant experience and a proven track record of managing a full case load we would like to hear from you.

We would also be happy to consider applicants who are qualified by experience.
