- Alder Community High School has a fantastic and rare opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our SEND support team. We would like to appoint a level 3 Teaching Assistant who is dedicated, hardworking and committed to raising standards and improving the life chances of young people. This is a challenging yet incredibly rewarding role working with 11-16 students to raise standards and attainment.

- The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. You will provide support in addressing the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. This will include a wide range of duties including, supervision of students, exam invigilation, data inputting, preparation and maintenance of resources and materials, and supporting trips and activities as required.

- This is a fixed term appointment. The normal hours of work are 32.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:10pm. This includes a 40-minute unpaid break. Additional holidays cannot be taken during term time.
