**Principal Consultant - HSQE**

**About our client**

Our clients are a Health and Safety Consultancy and have been working in the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental industry for 15 years covering many different sectors. They have a diverse range of clients, and they pride themselves in providing themwith a first-class service. They look after organisations and businesses of any shape and size, and offer practical and innovative solutions keeping them safe, compliant and profitable.

Our clients have seen a significant period of growth over the last 18 months, which will be further supported by substantial marketing strategy in 2023/24. To support the expected growth that the increase in marketing will bring, they require an experiencedand dynamic individual to join the team to be the focal point of this element of the business. This key and strategic role will work closely with the Directors and is supported by both internal and external consults who are already delivering to our existingclient base.

**Responsibilities**:

- Acquiring and developing new clients and potential business.
- Managing clients including opening and retaining opportunities (Staffing, Projects, Outsourcing). Including but not limited to new business development (example internet search), cold calling, conferences, client visits, social networking, referrals etc.
- Actively participate in Accounts Management and help maintain existing client relationships as and when requested.
- Developing and maintaining client relations and proactively getting new requirements from the client in various areas.
- Active involvement with clients in areas related to functional needs for the sole purpose of business and client development and expansion.
- Will be the primary point of contact between the client and our clients teams in terms of coordinating and making sure the needs of the client are fulfilled and the closure is complete.
- Developing and maintaining business opportunities within key industries.

**Business Development**
- Highlight and pursue opportunities for sales and partnership opportunities.
- Highlight opportunities for our client to use its expertise and technology to drive innovation supporting competitive calls.

**Key Experience**
- A member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) ideally CMIOSH level.
- A detailed understanding of ISOs (45001, 9001 & 14001), RISQS Certification, SSIP inc CHAS, Safe Contractor etc and H&S Competent Person service delivery, and whilst consultancy experience is not essential; applicants would need to demonstrate transferableskills in addition to evidencing knowledge and experience of effective health and safety management across a diverse range of industries.
- You will need to be flexible in attitude, willing to go that extra mile and able to travel nationally to deliver quality work to our clients

**Role Requirements**
- Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Excellent knowledge of Network Rail working practices and standards, particularly those associated with RISQS, PCL etc.
- Good knowledge of Construction Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental arrangements.
- Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office

**Preferred Qualifications**
- NEBOSH Diploma or a Level 6 Qualification in HSQE related discipline
- CMIOSH (or Working Towards).
