Summary Here at Biddulph Grange Garden we are recruiting 2 x Father Christmas and 1 x Christmas Assistant to work at our busy Christmas events.

These roles are hourly paid, fixed term. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d giveyou as much notice of this as possible.

What it's like to work here Biddulph Grange Garden is a grade 1 listed Victorian garden. This amazing garden was created by James Bateman for his collection of plants from around the world. A visit takes you on a global journey from Italy to the pyramids ofEgypt, a Victorian vision of China and a re-creation of a Himalayan glen.

We are very popular with both families and keen horticulturalists and we operate very successful and busy seasonal events.

What you'll be doing Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll help us to deliver great experiences for our Christmas visitors as well as raise funds that are vital to the upkeep of the garden.

The father Christmas roles will involve working in costume in a traditional Christmas grotto setting, greeting families and children as well as handing out gifts.

The Christmas assistant will also be costumed and will be involved with greeting families outside, queue management and assisting with the event.

Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you, if you have:

- Experience of working with the public in a customer service role.
- Experience of engaging, interacting and relating to children and their families/guardians.
- Ability to get into character and commit to the role, remaining jovial, happy and entertaining at all times.
- Ability to work to your own initiative without immediate assistance from manager.
- Good team worker.
- Flexible and adaptable.
