Bank Sports Therapist

An opportunity has arisen for a Sports Therapist to join our well-established and highly motivated Occupational Therapy team. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate and keenly motivated to join us. You will be working alongside staff and service users to promote the importance of physical wellbeing, occupation and meaningful activities as part of an individual’s recovery journey.

You will be required to assist in the delivery and coordination of a programme of physical health activities for service users with a verity of mental health conditions - this ranges from group and 1:1 input - including a variety of sports and gym sessions. These sessions will take place in our purpose built Gym and across the Inpatient wards.

This position is a bank role but we would have an expectation of the applicant to be able to offer 8-4 or 9-5 Monday - Friday on a weekly basis across Calnwood Court ward in Luton and Townsend Court in Houghton Regis.

These excellent facilities include a large sports hall, fully marked up for a variety of indoor team games, a professional weights and cardiovascular gymnasium and a flood-lit all-weather outdoor games pitch. The role also includes accessing patients and making links with the wider inpatient team.
