**BUYING AND SUPPLY CHAIN GRADUATE - HEALTHCARE**

Are you an ambitious and passionate graduate, looking to kick start your career in supply chain? We have a Buying and Supply Chain Graduate role within an award-winning online retail business that stands among the fastest-growing in the Midlands.

In this role, you’ll be a multi-skilled member of the team. You will work closely with all teams within the business including Digital Merchandising, Stock Control, Warehouse, Finance and Customer Service and will build strong relationships with suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Buying and Supply Chain Graduate, you will be responsible for:
**Buying**
- Supporting the buying team in launching new products
- Accurately updating and maintaining key back-office systems
- Monitoring the market competition, including pricing trends. Analysing and proposing movements to optimise our position in the market
- Analysing supplier cost price changes, impact to margin and proposing action points
- Conducting market reviews to identify opportunities
- Managing and optimising the product packaging process
- Managing sample sending and receiving to and from suppliers
- Supporting with analysis and reporting

**Supply Chain**
- Supporting the Demand Planner to maintain a stock availability target of 99%+
- Supporting with forecasting customer demand and stock requirement to prevent out of stocks and overstocking
- Supporting the Demand Planner with the daily placing of supplier orders, including knowledge of how to build larger container orders
- Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Building productive relationships with suppliers to manage delivery schedules and queries
- Understanding and supporting the processing of customs clearance paperwork and compliance documentation
- Supporting with analysis and reporting

**Internal Relationships**
- Working closely with internal colleagues to understand, action and resolve supply chain challenges, account/invoice queries and ad-hoc issues with a prompt response
- Managing customer service queries and any customer complaints processes, including liaising with relevant suppliers
- Supporting the team and wider business with ad-hoc tasks and projects when required
- Highly organised with a proactive approach to managing a wide range of responsibilities
- Skilled in being able to prioritise to manage workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical, and able to analyse data to make quick commercial decisions based on information available
- Excellent attention to detail
- Has the ability to understand the needs of our customers
- Has a commercial eye to identify gaps in the range and identify new market opportunities
- A great team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- A passion to succeed and deliver outstanding results
- Goes above and beyond just getting the day-to-day tasks done
- IT proficient with good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office

**Education and Experience**:

- A background in our product ranges is not necessary
- Passion for retail/online retail is essential
