The post holder will have responsibility for specialist audiological assessment and rehabilitation of patients, developing specialised programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care for patients. Within the scope of practice the post holder will independently utilise specialist knowledge, skills and theory in the audiology assessment and treatment children with hearing impairments, performing and analysing test results to suggest treatment and ongoing management plan and will monitor the effectiveness of the treatment arranged in liaison with the wider multi-disciplinary team.Review of the patient’s condition appropriately will be undertaken utilising clinical notes and the required re-evaluation of patient needs, ensuring each patient has a comprehensive ongoing management plan, imperative for good patient experience and outcomes. The post holder assists the Chief Audiologists in the daily clinical work of the department and is responsible for managing own workload.
