**Key responsibilities within the role include**:

- Provision of a waste collection service to wards, departments, clinics and community premises under the responsibility of the Health Board
- Collection of scrap, recyclables, domestic and clinical wastes streams
- Collection of rubbish from tunnels and cleaning of tunnels.
- Providing cover for waste colleagues across the Health Board as and when required.

With the ever changing sustainable environment within waste management there hasn't been a more exciting time to join the Waste Management industry.

We are looking for an adaptable team player who is flexible in their approach, enjoy variety and have a "Can Do" attitude. You will be required to work across all Health Board sites collecting waste from wards, clinics & community premises.

The majority of your time will be spent driving an electric tug at one of our Acute sites to collect waste or driving other Health Board vehicles to various sites providing various waste services, therefore driving experience is essential.

There is a shift pattern in operation which includes Bank Holiday and weekend working.

Full training will be given for driving electric vehicles and equipment.

You need experience of working in a physically demanding role, have a full clean driving license, have a flexible approach to service needs and are reliable. You should possess excellent customer care skills and be able to deal with members of staff, patients and public in a professional manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
