We are looking for someone to take on the bookkeeping here at YEO.

You should be organised and comfortable dealing with financial data.

You will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. You should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.

You should be willing to integrate into our tight knit team and adhere to our core values, mainly that of being a human being, plus the below.

**Responsibilities**:

- To manage and complete all necessary financial management tasks within the office. Namely invoicing to customers, managing incoming invoices, purchasing, bookkeeping, supplier liaison, credit control and control of bank accounts.
- To ensure the financial integrity of the business and its accounts by conducting regular reconciliations of all its accounts.
- To provide financial statements and reports to the business as and when required.
- To provide information to the external accountant who created the Company’s financial statements [or] to produce the company’s annual reports and financial statements in keeping with the prevailing HMRC/Accountancy reporting guidelines.
- Calculate any variances from budget, or bank account discrepancies and report significant issues to management
- Process payroll in a timely manner
- In co-ordination with the relevant managers produce annual operating budgets and forecasts to departments and monitor ongoing spend / variance against those budgets.
- To manage external audits and be the point of contact for such audits.
- Oversee the purchasing process within different departments

**Qualifications**:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite/Google Sheets and Xero
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Degree level education or equivalent, preferably in Business or Accounting (Not a deal breaker)
- Experience of working with accountancy software, preferably Xero
- Experience of producing company statement and accounts
- Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills (Microsoft/Gsuite Packages)
- Excellent numeracy and financial awareness
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and without supervision

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bude: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
- bookkeeping: 2 years (required)
