We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed assistant psychologist to join our new Staff Support Service here at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).

Our team consists of two clinical psychologists, a senior psychological therapist and a clinical associate psychologist in training. We are a new team looking to develop both prevention and self-management interventions for staff as well as providing direct psychological support. We are part of a larger Wellbeing Hub which includes Health and Wellbeing, Occupational Health and the Freedom to Speak Up Guardians.

Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.
- To work as part of the Wellbeing Hub, supporting all activities undertaken by the Staff Psychology service at ESNEFT and supporting the wider Hub for joined up working.
- To provide brief structured interventions for staff under the regular supervision of a qualified psychologist.
- To support service evaluation and research carried out within the Health and Wellbeing Hub.
- To support teaching and training and any other activities provided by the staff psychology service.
- To be responsible for ensuring clinical outcome data is routinely entered and prepare reports for feedback.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Communication and Relationship skills**:

- Work as part of the Wellbeing Hub multi-disciplinary team, communicating effectively with all Wellbeing Hub colleagues.
- Manage complex and/or sensitive information with care and in accordance with information governance guidelines.
- Support the staff psychology team by proactively promoting the service, resources and events.
- Communicate with external agencies and organisations where appropriate.
- Have the ability and interpersonal skills to develop therapeutic relationships with service users.

**Knowledge, Training and Experience**:

- To use knowledge acquired through degree and further learning to underpin clinical work and training.
- To maintain, as part of continual professional development, up to date clinical knowledge/skills in the clinical field, using evidence based information to effect change in practice and ensuring the effective dissemination of new knowledge.

**Analytical and Judgement Skills**:

- To use knowledge of research methods to support service evaluation and research.
- To use analytical skills in the assessment, formulation and planning for service users under the supervision of a clinical psychologist.
- Work to standing operating procedures and departmental guidelines.
- Ensure any information is accurate and up-to-date before sharing internally or externally.

Responsibility for Information Resources
- Update and maintain the referrals process and activity recording.
- Maintain a secure filing system.
- Support the team in gathering any data for audit/research purposes.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant IT/information systems.
- Attend relevant meetings, taking notes and disseminating the necessary documents pre and post-meeting as required.
- Handle statistical information, entering data and using computer software to present data.
- Contribute to reports written by the staff psychology service.
