Yard Operative

We have a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic **Yard Operative **to join our team at **Jewson Goddards Green (BN6 9LG)**

This role has a strong focus on customer service as well as working out in the yard, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with customers and enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced but supportive environment.

- A driving license and access to a vehicle would be preferred for this position due to the branch location
- Hours of work are full time Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and every 2nd Saturday 8am-12pm.

**So, what will you be doing?**

Our **Yard Operatives **have a strong focus on customer service outside in the yard, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with customers and enjoys working outdoors. Your role will be essential to keeping our yard running smoothly which means you’ll be at the heart of our operations.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
- Help to process and prepare customer orders
- Load/unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift to minimise manual handling
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
