- Pro-actively seek and gain the best value with overhead cost purchases and supplier contract renewals, negotiating directly with suppliers.
- Negotiating freight forwarding, processing of shipping documents, bills of lading and customs documents.
- Proactively negotiate the best rates and costs for end-to-end logistics domestically and internationally
- Management of the TMS within SAP (4 Hana).
- Liaise with the Sales and Warehouse department to optimise transport shipments.
- Purchase/Requisition order processing.
- Supporting the Department with all administration requirements.
- Using SAP/Excel daily to update reports for Purchasing
- Maintain master data and update prices on a monthly basis.
- Build relationships with other departments within the company to ensure the efficient flow of data and information, in order to complete own tasks.
- Help to establish preferred supplier database.
- Regular communication with all suppliers/customers and internal personalities.
- Managing suppliers and negotiating “best value, best price”.
- Constantly assess processes within the department and suggest improvements.
- Contributing to the company wide continuous improvement culture.
- Order and manage company stationery supplies, printing, PPE and workwear.
- Represent the purchasing department in internal and external meetings, including daily production department reviews, supplier meetings, contract negotiation, supplier complaints
