**An opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Tax Accountant** to join a well-established independent firm of chartered accountants, to assist the existing team to meet the growing demands and an increasing client portfolio.

This role will be two days per week and is offering around £20,000 for the two days, which equates to £50,000 FTE, depending upon experience.

You will be a tax specialist with significant technical expertise, with knowledge of income tax, capital gains tax including reliefs and section 431 elections, self-employed accounts and property letting accounts, property tax and inheritance tax.

**As Part time Tax Accountant your responsibilities will include**:

- Preparing and completing Self-Assessment and Capital Gains Tax Returns
- Meeting with prospective clients and offering consultations
- Building client relationships in a client-facing role
- Meeting and liaising with clients about their tax affairs and responding to client queries
- Devising tax strategies for clients
- Working in a team within the tax department
- Significant personal tax experience gained within a practice environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills
- Experience with CCH Personal Tax software
- Ability to use initiative and work to deadlines
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience of the Trust Registration Service and completing Trust Tax Returns would be desirable
- Experience of inheritance tax planning along with trusts and estate planning would be an advantage
