My client is one of the largest providers of consulting and technology services, providing a collaborative, friendly and entrepreneurial environment. A truly global consultancy with offices based in central London and a broad client base of blue chip companies, the company operates across a variety of sectors and industries. Working within business analytics and modelling you will provide the expertise and structured thinking allowing you to develop innovative analytical solutions to complex business problems.
As a User Researcher, you will be joining the growing and exciting digital factory community who are continually sharing knowledge and expertise. My client is passionate about user-centred design, critical thinking, problem-solving and designing and building digital services and products.
**Role Overview**:
Working for my client would give you opportunities to develop and grow, working with their major public and private clients. Their office is in London, and they offer hybrid working, however, depending on your project, you may have to travel to client locations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other User Researchers to plan and conduct high-impact research that helps develop a better understanding of their clients’ users.
- Contribute to creating better products and services that solve users’ problems and meet their needs.
- Lead the research for your team, suggesting the best approaches and methodologies to use to capture the right user insights.
- Plan and run qualitative studies, including remote and in-person interviews, observations, diary studies, concept testing and usability studies.
- Use quantitative methods such as surveys to identify actionable insights and collaborate with the analytics team to enhance qualitative insights.
- Consider the end-to-end user journey and external factors that may impact the user experience including business, policy, and technical constraints.
- Communicate research findings and involve your team in analysis and synthesis to develop empathy with the users and enable evidence-based design decisions.
- Help to embed user-centred design and user research best practices into teams and the wider business.
- **You will have SC (Security Check) level Clearance* (Important)**:
- Experience across multiple phases of a product or service lifecycle, from discovery and exploration through to design and delivery.
- Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, using GDS design principles.
- Strong storytelling, communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary, agile teams where you have led the user research and influenced the design of a product or service through the insights you have gathered.
- Familiarity with using prototypes to test hypotheses, assumptions and validate user journeys.
- Understanding of a range of tools and practices for in-person and remote research.
A bachelor's degree in?psychology, sociology, anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction or any user experience degree or modules, and passion for technology’s unlimited potential and ability to engage with people.
