Registration Officer

Salary £21,968-£24,054 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Devonshire House, Chorley

The core task of this role is to register births, still-births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships and carry out all related duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Registration Acts. Duties and responsibilities include to:

- Attest routine notices of marriage/civil partnerships; conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and approved premises.
- Advise members of the public and partners on all matters relating to the registration service.
- Deal with all registration corrections, respond to face to face, telephone, online or postal enquires and submit all weekly/quarterly returns within the stated timescales.

This is a permanent post based at Chorley Registration Service. The hours for the post will be 37 per week.
