**Transport Planner**
**Location: Leeming Bar**
**Salary: £28,000**

**Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30am - 4:30pm**
**Type: Permanent**
Imperial Professionals are working exclusively with one of North Yorkshires largest employers who are rapidly growing and looking to recruit a Transport Planner on a full-time permanent basis.
**Duties**:
Receive, process and monitor orders via EDI
Manually input orders from customers
Allocate and arrange haulage for orders through directly-managed fleet, 3PL providers and ex-works partners;
Work within agreed cost parameters when allocating haulage;
Assist with the scheduling of loads and/or collections and completion of a booking-in schedule
Liaise with gatehouse staff and assist with the booking-in of hauliers
Process and print dispatch notes;
Liaise with shift managers and other team members to ensure the timely loading and turnaround of vehicles;
Liaise with customers to assign haulage, arrange collections and confirm delivery slots, as required;
Support with the preparation and control of customs paperwork and export documentation for outbound goods shipments, liaising with transport providers and the operational warehouse teams to collate the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner;
Other ad-hoc duties
**Requirements**:
Ability to follow instruction.
Good verbal communication skills.
Excellent IT literacy and high level of proficiency with CPMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Word/Excel is essential.
Recent relevant experience is essential
IT literacy and proficiency with SAP and WMS systems is preferred.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to problem solve.
