**A highly successful accountancy practice is looking for a Tax Semi-Senior** to join the tax team at the firm’s Maidenhead office, to work predominantly on personal tax. The role will report directly to the Tax Managers, working alongside theTax Seniors, and you will join a team of eight within tax.

An optional hybrid working pattern will be available once you have settled in after approximately six months and this is an excellent opportunity to build upon your current experience.

The focus of this role will primarily entail assisting with the preparation/ review of self-assessment, partnership and trust & estate tax returns to a high standard. The work is mainly personal tax orientated, although there is exposure to more complicatedcompany tax work such as R&D claims, patent box, taxation of mutuals and company tax enquiries.

You will have some involvement with project work as required into various taxes principally related to income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, VAT and stamp taxes. You will also be assisting with tax disclosures and tax enquiries and assisting withthe preparation/ review of forms P11d, annual employment related securities and ATED returns.

**As Tax Semi-Senior your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in the management of a client portfolio and providing a high-quality service to clients
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts & estates, calculating and reconciling tax liabilities
- Assisting managers & partners in tax enquiry work into private clients and business clients
- Researching tax planning issues and transactional tax matters
- Preparing written correspondence, communications, and other documents for submission to clients, professional contacts and the tax authorities
- Ensuring compliance with the firm’s published policies and procedures
- Minimum of a year personal tax compliance experience gained within practice
- Be self-motivated and in time, be willing to work independently to meet client and statutory deadlines
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills; MS Office and tax and accounting software
