- We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team in the Edinburgh office on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.Essential Duties:

- Accounts Receivable - (20%)_- Creating sales invoices- Creating customer credit notes using approved process- Setting up and maintaining customer accounts- Generating monthly customer statements- Regularly liaising with other departments including Sales, Customer Service and Operations
- Credit Control - (35%)_- Chasing overdue balances with the support of the business units-
- Reconciling corporate accounts and individual customer accounts- Advising Management Accountant on any potential bad debt - quarterly basis- Attend and participate in weekly debt collection meetings by updating and keeping manager informed of current statuses- Generate monthly aged debtors’ reports
- Banking - (15%)_- Processing bank transactions daily with high degree of accuracy- Reconciling bank transactions daily- Creating journal entries for accounting corrections
- Accounts Payable - (25%)_- Processing supplier invoices with high degree of accuracy for two companies- Processing staff expenses in line with company expense policy for two companies- Preparing bi-monthly payment runs for approval and paying approved payment runs through the banks (creation of BACS files) for two companies- Completing any ad hoc payments as required- Answering queries from suppliers- Reconciling supplier statement will follow-up action on queries- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts

Other - (5%)- Assisting with audit requirements- Supporting Management Accountant with any reporting requests
