This role requires full flexibility including the working of weekends (currently only Sunday openings in December) public & bank holidays and evenings (short time of the year) on a rota basis

Essential Criteria;
- Previous retail experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpreonal skills
- Ability to work well alone or as part of a team
- Good use of initiative
- Positive and motivated attitude
- Ability and willingness to work in and outdoors

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

- Assisting customers both in person and over the phone while providing a positive shopping experience
- Till operation and cash handling
- Displaying and presenting stock along with stock management/ rotation
- Creating eye catching displays both indoors and outdoors
- Checking, pricing and merchandising new deliveries to our store
- Offering friendly and helpful advice/guidance on products we sell
- Organisation and cleanliness of the store along with other routine housekeeping tasks
- Watering and managing plant health

We are a small, family run garden centre business established in 1977. We pride ourselves on the excellent customer service we offer to our local community, relationships we have built and the safe, fun and welcoming environment we have created for both the public and employees

We sell all you need for outdoor spaces and gardens, as well as indoor houseplants, seasonal sundries/decorations, pet and wild bird food and much more.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 11 months

Pay: £7.00-£12.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
