Our Client based in the Northampton area are looking to recruit a CMM Inspector / Inspector this is a full time role.

**Quality Assurance Lead Technician / Senior Inspector
A Quality Assurance Lead Technician / Senior Inspector position has become available at a prestigious Precision Engineering Company based in Northamptonshire.

You will be a key figure in the business, making sure that products are delivered fully and on time, delegating and managing the workloads of your team whilst resolving any problem areas that may arise.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Quality, role is to lead our team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors and manage daily priorities.
- Responsible for carrying out the inspection of components in accordance with the specification given in the route cards / customer drawings / instructions.
- Report any non-conformances to our Head of Quality and support root cause analysis, so corrective action can be taken swiftly
- Key player in RCA meetings, Process Review meetings and deputise for Head of Quality in other Production meetings.
- Providing feedback for process or tooling improvements
- Improving in house inspection and implementing change where necessary
- Providing support & management of product issues identified by suppliers and customers both internal and external
- Monitoring supplier performance and defining process parameter to ensure process capability
- Maintaining records of products and approved suppliers
- Key player in company Business Improvement Team
- Continually supporting improvements to company QMS processes
- Work within company Health & Safety policy.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification
- Min 5 years’ experience in a similar quality role within high precision engineering
- Min 2 Years’ supervisory experience
- Ability to review and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 or similar preferred
- Experience of ISIR/ FAIR requirements
- Good customer/ supplier liaison essential
- Able to demonstrate experience using hand-held metrology instruments.
- Able to demonstrate ability to program and operate precision CMM machines.
- Experience in programming CMM Mitutoyo using MCosmos (preferable) or similar
Work to ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 standards
- A team player, confident and capable of mentoring less experienced staff
- Can-do attitude to overcome technical problems and receptive to new ideas.
- Willing to go the extra mile to ensure that project schedules are met and be able to work within a high-pressure production environment.
- Fault finding experience to component level capability
- Self-motivated individual, good communication skills

**Hours of Work
- 40 hours a week
- Mon - Thurs 07.30 to 16:30, Fri 07.30 to 13.30
- Holidays are 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays
